Below280 delivers scheduled online openLCA training as an approved partner of GreenDelta, the makers of openLCA. Below280 is a specialist LCA consultancy spun out from Decerna in 2025. Our trainers hold GreenDelta certification, meaning you get teaching grounded in how the software actually works — not just how it looks on the surface.
Courses run across two sessions with time between them to practice, review, and come back with real questions. All three levels — Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced — combine theory with hands-on modelling, using illustrative case studies throughout.

Basic openLCA Training
Duration: 7 hours across 2 sessions
Level: New openLCA users
Prerequisite: None
Basic training introduces the full LCA workflow in openLCA, from understanding the four phases of an LCA through to building product systems and interpreting results. By the end of the two sessions, you’ll have built your first model and know how to navigate the software confidently.

Intermediate openLCA Training
Duration: 6 hours across 2 sessions
Level: Users with Basic openLCA knowledge
Prerequisite: Basic training or equivalent experience
Intermediate training moves into the more complex aspects of LCA modelling — parameters, allocation, sensitivity, and end-of-life. The focus shifts from building models to building them well, with attention to data quality and methodological choices that affect results.
Basic and Intermediate are designed to run back-to-back in the same week, so you can take both without a gap if you’re starting from scratch.

Advanced training covers specialist topics for practitioners who already know the core workflow and want to go further. Each cohort covers at least five topics from the full list, confirmed with participants ahead of the course.
