Environmental Product Declarations are increasingly required across construction, manufacturing, and procurement — but building a compliant EPD demands more than general LCA knowledge. This one-day specialist course focuses specifically on EPD development using openLCA with the EN 15804+A2 add-on for ecoinvent, developed by GreenDelta.
The course combines theory with a practical case study, walking participants through each stage of the EPD process. Ahead of the session, participants can tell us their preferred programme operator, product category rules, and product of interest — so the training reflects your actual work rather than a generic example.

Level: Participants should have working knowledge of LCA and openLCA

- Building an LCA model in line with EN 15804+A2
- Understanding product category rules (PCRs) and programme operator requirements
- Using the EN 15804+A2 add-on database
- Applying guidance on biogenic carbon mass balance
- Calculating primary energy use indicators
- Importing EPDs from various sources into openLCA
- Integrating EPDs into LCA results
- Preparing an LCA background report
- Compiling a complete EPD report
Participants are offered temporary access to the EN 15804+A2 ecoinvent add-on database for the course.
