SimaPro to openLCA migration training for LCA practitioners

SimaPro to openLCA: Migration Training for LCA Practitioners

Who is this course for?

Are you making the switch from SimaPro to openLCA? Or just need to use openLCA for a specific project?

This course is designed to help experienced SimaPro users get started with openLCA. It is a basic course only suitable for those who already know how to perform LCA and use SimaPro. We will show you how to apply your existing knowledge and approaches in openLCA.

We have designed this course to enable you to make the shift between software packages with minimal disruption.

LCA Topics we cover

  • Flows, processes and providers vs SimaPro’s product and waste flow structure
  • Elementary flows vs emissions to air, water and soil categories
  • Waste treatment without a dedicated section
  • Parameters and scenario modelling
  • Calculation setup, running an analysis and comparing scenarios
  • Contribution tree and extracting results to Excel

Suitable for experienced LCA practitioners only. Not an introduction to LCA methodology. We have a range of more in-depth courses for advanced modelling.
